Yorkiepoo is a special type of dog, a mix of a Yorkshire Terrier and a Toy Poodle or Miniature Poodle. People started liking them a lot when other mixed breeds became popular.
Even though the Yorkiepoo is quite new, only around 10 years old, people adore them because they have a lively and confident personality, they are very loving, and they look really cuddly.
These small, hybrid dogs can have different colors like white, black, or golden, and sometimes they have two or three colors. They are small, usually between 7 to 15 inches tall and weighing from 3 to 15 pounds.

Temperament and Personality
While Yorkiepoos aren’t designed for rigorous physical activity, they are playful and energetic pets that benefit from gentle exercise, like a short walk or some playtime in the yard lasting around 20 to 30 minutes daily. They are charming companions who don’t demand extensive exercise.
The Yorkie Poo lifespan usually ranges from 10 to 15 years. Ensuring their well-being involves offering affection, balanced nutrition, and daily exercise.
Their small size makes them well-suited for apartment living, and with proper training and socialization, they can form bonds and play with other dogs, cats, and young children.
It’s important to introduce Yorkiepoos to other dogs in the household carefully. While they generally get along with children, supervision is important during play to avoid accidental injury due to their petite stature.

Health Problem of Yorkiepoo
When you have a Yorkiepoo, it’s like having a mix of two different dog types. This can mean they might have some health problems from their parents. But there are ways to help. One is genetic testing, which can tell us about any diseases they might get.
Also, making sure they eat healthy food and going to the vet regularly can help keep them healthy and manage any issues they might have, says Dr. Schechter.
Endocrine Diseases
Yorkiepoos can easily get sick. They might have issues with something called hypothyroidism, which means their thyroid gland doesn’t make enough hormones that help their body work right.
This can make them gain weight, feel tired all the time, and have skin and ear infections a lot. But don’t worry. If your Yorkiepoo has this problem, your vet can give them medicine to help them feel better. Just make sure to take them to the vet regularly.
Diabetes: When a Yorkie poo has diabetes, it means their body doesn’t make enough insulin, which helps turn food into energy. Insulin injections can help manage diabetes by getting more sugar into cells and lowering sugar levels in the blood.
Signs of diabetes in Yorkie poos include being very thirsty, peeing a lot, eating more, losing weight, feeling tired, getting dehydrated, and developing cataracts.
Cushing’s disease: happens when a Yorkie poo’s adrenal gland makes too much cortisol, a stress hormone. This usually affects older dogs and can cause other health problems like kidney infections, bladder stones, diabetes, and ongoing skin and urinary tract infections.
Treating Cushing’s in Yorkie poos involves medications and regular vet visits. In some cases, surgery or radiation might be needed.
